A tradition passed forward
The Baertsch family tradition begins
Orin Baertsch began the family banking philosophy that would later be carried forward by his son, Don.
Experience built in banking
Don Baertsch began as an FDIC examiner in 1947 and entered community banking at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Beach in 1963.
First State Bank in Golva
Dee Ann Baertsch began her banking career by purchasing First State Bank in Golva with her father, Don, as partner and mentor.
Expansion to Beach
First State Bank expanded its community banking service to Beach.
Service in Medora
The bank added its Medora location, managed by Sandy Baertsch.
